Soon we’ll say goodbye to 2018 which turned out to be rather complicated year for crypto industry. On the eve of 2019, there are many experts who wish to make predictions on the Bitcoin price. The result is a great number of forecasts which are often diametrically opposed to each other. Let’s take a comprehensive review of available “prophecies”.

Mike Novogratz

Mike Novogratz has predicted Bitcoin strengthening. In his opinion, in 2019, Bitcoin can increase to $20 000. He thinks, the rise will happen due to the following reasons:

• Institutional investors will finally accept cryptocurrencies;
• The volumes of funding will increase.

Novogratz assumes that Bitcoin will reach the mark of $9 000 till the end of this year. In Q1 2019, the coin will grow up to $10 000. And later, it only will continue strengthening. Novogratz believes, Bitcoin has great potential as the cryptocurrency is not regulated.

Jeffrey Sachs

Professor Jeffrey Sachs is not so optimistic about Bitcoin. According to his prognosis, the coin will fall to $1 000 – 3 000.  He thinks that 2019 will be the year of full cryptocurrency market crash resulted by irrational quotation movements. The “fortune teller” believes that Bitcoin rate drop is nearly inevitable due to strict sanctions imposed by Central Banks. In such a way, governments will oppress BTC as anonymous and fully decentralized currency.

Nouriel Roubini

Nouriel Roubini aka Dr. Doom thinks Bitcoin price is continuously approaching zero. The expert is steadfast in his prospects. In fact, Roubini is famous with his anti-Bitcoin views. He believes Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies provide a fertile ground for fraudsters.

According to Bloomberg Intelligence, many analytics think Bitcoin can drop to $1 500. This analysis is based on the Bitcoin’s moving average price cost basis which is about $1 520 now.

Saxo Bank Kay and not only

Still, there are many who do believe Bitcoin has a promising future. Thus, Van-Petersen and Jacob Pouncey, the Saxo Bank Kay analytics, consider Bitcoin will grow up to $60 000 next year. The experts claim that cryptocurrency price will gradually grow till December 2019. But in the end of 2019, the experts predict Bitcoin will drop to $1 000.
